RRIFs

An RRIF works like an RRSP, but in reverse. It converts your savings into income and lets you continue to shelter your investment from taxes after you turn 71. You may choose any payment amount you wish as long as it satisfies the mandatory minimum amount. The benefit of an RRIF (unlike an annuity) is that they are extremely flexible and remain under your control.

Features and Benefits

  • Unlimited Deposit Insurance on all Registered Deposits.
  • Allows withdrawals based on declining terms directly from the term.
  • Flexible deposit options (daily interest, declining terms).
  • Payment schedule changes can be made at any time.
